Everyone loves receiving fresh flowers. Its easy to place a call to your favorite florist and order a bouquet to be delivered to brighten someone’s day. But what’s involved in delivering your order is sometimes more labor intensive than the order itself.
Here are some tips that can assure your order is delivered properly:
- Have the recipient’s proper address and phone number ready when you place the order.
- .Make sure the recipient is not out of town.
- Be aware that flowers cannot be left outside, even for an hour in temperatures under 40 degrees or over 80 degrees.
- When picking up a flower arrangement, always pick up from the bottom. NEVER pick up by the cellophane its wrapped in.
- Florists will often call and/or text the recipient to arrange a delivery time.If there is no return call, they will call the sender to seek another avenue of communication. If that fails, another call is placed for the recipient to pick up the order at the store.
- Be mindful that holidays and especially Mothers day are extremely busy for flower shops. Try to place your order well in advance to assure prompt delivery.
